Day 4 of the Mystery Virus

Please. Just shoot me.

I’m feeling just too icky for words. Unlike just about every other time I’ve been sick, this has started off slowly and is getting just a little bit worse every day.

Oh, I can’t wait until tomorrow.

I did go to work today, thinking what the hell, it’s my short day. By the time my class was finished, I felt like I was ready to pass out. I ended up taking a cab home, grabbing some comfort food and then crawling into bed with the comforting presence of the cat and the sock monkey. A five hour nap ensued.

Sidenote: how is it that a small house cat, albeit a fat one, can suddenly take on the weight of a small black hole as soon as it is comatose on a bed? Woke up with the damn thing hogging all the covers and it took a lot of effort to get the crabby cat away from the crabby Kat.

I played a bit of Tuckfard poker last night. First there was the TFI and TFII. The least said about those the better. I did manage to hang on in the TFI long enough to depart in 5th place - not bubble girl again, but close. And frankly, the TFII HORSE game was a total blur of card death.

Afterward, I joined Carson and DonK for what is becoming both a bit of a weekly tradition and a high point of my week; cheap and cheerful SnG’s. I think we did an Omaha H/L where I painfully watched Carson get one outtered with a rivered Royal mere moments after DonK said “a Royal is about the only thing that can beat you”.

OK, eff this, I’m heading back to bed. Being upright is making me dizzy. And not in a fun way either.

Here’s a little short movie for you. I’d seen it ages ago, and have been revisiting it a lot thanks to YouTube. It’s dark, so deliciously dark. You may not like it.

I didn’t play poker last night (Tuesday night) and I LOVED IT.
