When I first started playing poker, my pal Jules mentioned that I should be reading some poker blogs to help my game. She mentioned a few, and made special note of one written by another Canadian woman. “She’s our kind of chick; I’d like to meet her someday”, she said.

Alas, poor Jules has never met Joanada. But I’ve been lucky enough to hang out with her both online and off, sharing hotel rooms and chat rooms, talking about beer, men, poker, and the benefits of black leather over black lace. She has become one of only seven other women that I call Friend, with a capital F.

If there is one wish that I have for my Friends, it is that they find happiness and love in this all too short life. And the fact that Joanada has found both with a guy from Iowa makes me beyond happy for her.

Congratulations to the newly engaged Joanada and Buddy Dank!

To start the celebrations, tonight will be a special Engagement version of the Donkament. Buddy Dank Radio will be on air with the usual suspects, the beer will be flowing, and I think the silliness may possible be epic.
