apologies & same old same old

To those who have commented, emailed or texted me lately and have received no response, I am both thankful for the thoughts and and sorry that I have not replied.

My mind has been elsewhere, and unless it’s done with the immediacy of Twitter or IMs, it’s just not happening. Hopefully my mind will be back soon.

Sunday was spent finishing my courses of study, 25 pages of creative writing (each!) like you’ve never seen before. It’s dreary work to do on a sunny Sunday, but the powers that be were getting antsy for something already a month or so late.

To quote Douglas Adams (again), I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.

I decided to reward myself for being diligent enough to get two of the three done by playing in newly resuscitated BritBloggerment.

It was good to see the gang from across the pond again, and fun play in a game with a lively chat window that anyone can join.  It was a good game and I was doing fairly well until my stomach started making grumbling sounds and required that I start dinner soon.

The one thing that I truly enjoyed about it was when the 20-something whiney bitch was busted. He claims it’s because PokerStars is a joke site that hates him; my response was “you’re not really very good at math, are you?”

What followed was the lamest diatribe based on my country of origin ever.  This Would-Be whatever even carried it over to his website in a post that which is just sad and sorry…it’s like a Waffles rant post without the passion or intelligence. But his take on the convo between ResidentEvil and myself is funny as hell, even though it has been, shall we say, embellished upon greatly. Being called a Canadian trollop is still making me giggle.

I’ll definitely be back next week for more *grin.
