so far so good

If the first day is a good barometer for how the year is going to shape up, then 2010 is going to be a good one. January one, I woke up beside someone who loves me and feeds me coffee. He gave me the keys to the car, kissed me and said have a nice [...]

weekends, aka catching up

My last post was 3 weeks ago you say? Good grief, where does the time go? Sometimes I have to go backward before I can go forward. Of course, it’s not like I have to pull an OhCaptain and go three months back *grin. ********** Three weekends past. Three weekends ago was the all-girl cottage [...]

And late night made-up poker games are so +EV for fun that it’s off the scale. Oma-Razz-Pineapple, anyone? Actually home [...]

My day in six glasses

I’ve been re-reading parts of The History of the World in Six Glasses by Tom Standage, where the author ties six periods in history to a tasty beverage – beer, wine, spirits, coffee, tea and cola. In an homage to this, I’m writing my day in six glasses. Yes, I am at that much of [...]
